those people who know me know that i care a great deal about animals and especially those who are homeless. the other day i was asked to photograph all the adoptable kitties that are housed at the downey animal care center (shelter) for one of the rescue organizations that try to pull and place these lovelies before the shelter kills them to make room for more. at the end of june i adopted one of these kitties who was scheduled to die, she was only 8 weeks old and deserved a chance to have a happy, loving life. she’s now 8 months old and definitely has a warm, loving home with my husband and me and our two other cats who are 13 years and 10 years.
i’m writing this blog in hopes that one of you reading this will have room in your heart and home for one of these homeless kitties. if you do, please consider adopting from a shelter, they have lots of kittens, cats, puppies and dogs. also, rabbits, if that’s your thing 🙂
i love photographing pets both with and without their owners, so if you’ve got a special pet in your family think about having him or her photographed. they make great memories!!!
