family photos santa monica | photo tip: angles add interest
so the majority of photographs that i see are taken pretty much straight on. and sometimes that’s fine.
BUT if you take the same photograph from a different angle it can add great interest and an entirely different perspective. in the photographs that follow, notice how the images are all taken close-up, but at different angles. what do you think? do you like one better than another?
do yourself a great favor and shoot the same image a couple of different ways and see if you don’t get something really special. it doesn’t matter if you’re taking pictures of your baby, children or spouse, angles add interest to any shot.
feel free to comment at the bottom of this entry, i love hearing from you. keep shooting and good luck!
p.s. the handsome man who volunteered to demonstrate this for you is my husband, david. thank you sweetie! xo

baby photos los angeles | photo tip: GET CLOSER!!
one of the best things about photographing babies is their skin. babies are only babies for a short time and their skin is so beautiful and clear and their eyes are so sparkly. SO GET CLOSER WHEN YOU TAKE PICTURES! not a little closer, either. A LOT CLOSER!! your photographs will improve tenfold if you only do this one thing…
check out the great expressions on these babies faces… all different, all wonderful. all photographed close-up so you can SEE the expressions!!
do yourself a huge favor and get in close. it’s so worth it!!
