there is just no end to the number of beautiful kids out there and recently i photographed two of them.  we played in their backyard in sherman oaks and they had a blast going down the slides, running around and of course, relating to each other which is what i was hoping to capture.  and i think i did!  check it out…….

december last year was very exciting for my family because my sister-in-law gave birth to two beautiful baby girls, briley and hayden.  i think i always thought that twins were more alike than different, but these two girls are already showing their differences!!  it’s actually really fun to watch and experience their discovery of the world around them, and to see cooper, their golden retriever licking whatever part of them he can reach!

this is just the introduction of the twins, through the months and years ahead there will be many, many, many, many, many more photographs of them!!

this valentine’s day there are some incredibly  lucky men out there who are going to be receiving some very sexy photographs of their women.  this past weekend i had the pleasure of shooting a close friend of mine for just this purpose.  she had a lot of fun playing “dress up” in all sorts of frilly lingerie and the beautiful images we captured were exactly what she was looking for.

boudoir means so many different things….. to some it means total nudity, to others it’s lingerie and pearls.  everyone seems to interpret it differently.  last week i photographed a very beautiful, very playful, very sexy woman.  she wasn’t interested in nudity but was looking for more of the girl next door style of imagery to give to her boyfriend for valentine’s day.  she was thrilled with her results!!!!!

i’d like to share a different aspect of my business with you that’s not part of my regular family photography.   i’m in the process of adding boudoir photo sessions to my web site, but in the meantime, i wanted to give you a preview here on the blog.  boudoir pictures make the perfect gift for your spouse, loved one, or yourself.    i love showing women how sexy and fun and romantic and silly and downright wonderful this kind of expression can be!!  whether you feel comfy showing lots of yourself or very little, it’s your ATTITUDE that makes the whole thing work.  as you can see from these pictures, i use some wonderful photoshop techniques to give the pictures a very “soft” and polished look.   you don’t have to be a supermodel to look beautiful in these  special photographs.

it’s always fun meeting new people and getting to discover their unique beauty.  the holiday season provided me with many opportunities like this, including this wonderful family.  i actually met them in a camera repair shop when my camera fell from a height of 8 feet (!!!!) and had to be repaired.  have i mentioned i’m a touch klutzy? 

the joy and happiness in their faces was so evident and they obviously enjoyed being together.  it’s always a privilege for me to be able to capture that.

the weather here has been so beautiful and almost everyone wants to take their kids to the beach – here are three adorable kids by the pier in santa monica.

take advantage of living here and get out with your kids and play on the sand – it’s fun and makes for the best photographs!

i wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a very healthy and very happy and very prosperous 2010 from my family to yours!!!!!

bella, lily and wesley are three of my favorite children in all the world  i’ve been photographing them for a few years now and we always have such fun.  this year we went to santa monica where the winter is just as pretty as santa monica in the summer and all these fun holiday photographs on the beach prove it!

here’s hoping that all of you take the time to frolic on the beach as often as you can, it’s good for the soul!

this year has been so great for holiday pics at the beach!  the weather has been perfect and watching little kids run around in the sand and run FROM the water is a real kick.  i’m so fortunate – I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!!!!!!

next time you’re thinking about taking your family photographs, consider the beach as a location, it can really be wonderful!
